Dr Christopher Pearce is an expert in Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle and Sporting conditions.
He is the current chairman of the foot and ankle section of the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA-AFAS), and the International Editor of the journal Foot & Ankle International.
He is a member of the International Ankle Instability Group, Achilles Tendon Study Group, and Ankle Cartilage Repair Society.
Prior to setting up Altius Clinic, Chris was a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Head of the Division of Foot & Ankle Surgery for the three hospitals within the National University Health System. In addition, he held the position of Adj Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore.
Chris completed his medical education at Manchester University Medical School in 1998 and underwent postgraduate surgical training in London, UK. He pursued foot & ankle fellowships in Germany with Prof Hans Zwipp and in London with Prof James Calder, treating elite and professional athletes.
Chris has published over 80 peer-reviewed studies and 10 book chapters and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences and to teach surgeons on courses in Singapore and overseas. He is on the editorial board for the KSSTA journal.
Beyond his work, Chris has always been passionate about sports and was a county-level swimmer and keen rugby player in his youth. More recently he coached rugby and still trains in Muay Thai and weights. He is the lead singer in the band ‘LC-DCP’
